Mission
KƆFA is DARE Generation’s in-house professional performing arts company that consists of professional global artists who are passionate about teaching interculturalism through the performing arts. All members of KƆFA are part of DARE, but not all members of DARE are part of the exclusive KƆFA company. KƆFA is reserved for professionals that have demonstrated artistic competency and believe in spreading our vision of interculturalism. The mission of KƆFA is to create art that provokes thought and entertains. The inspiration for KƆFA comes from a fusion of western dance and traditional Ghana dance. It is our hope to inspire the world to learn about other cultures and be a positive influence in our communities.
Go For It!
The word KƆFA is spelled with a symbol which resembles an inverted “c” that derives from the Akan language and translates to English as “Go for it”. The term KƆFA represents our ideals as an arts company who seeks to foster go-getters. We seek to use our platform as artists to educate the public on various social issues with our main focus being interculturalism, through the use of the arts. KƆFA members consist of professional performing artist that create original works performed locally and internationally.
We believe providing people with the opportunity to learn from different cultures through the arts promotes diversity and is essential to advance society on a larger scale. The exchange of cultures through the use of the performing arts can create a major impact on our communities which is what we aim to do through international travel, performances, and workshops.
