About Us
DARE Generation (DARE GEN) is a performing arts center and outreach organization.
As a 501(c)(3) public benefit outreach organization, we want to be able to give back to our communities in creative ways. There are many proven benefits of how the arts serve society on a large scale in academics, overall health, and more. Unfortunately, often times these elements are a luxury and unattainable to lower-income and rural area families. It is our goal to be able to provide high quality performing arts classes to anyone interested, despite their socio-economic background. We organize events catering to underserved communities and partner with schools, orphanages, and organizations year-round.
We also view interculturalism as a critical component to personal and communal growth and happiness. On a globe where people far too often treat difference as a problem, and a reason to build artificial boundaries between humanity–boundaries that only serve to fuel the hatred, intolerance, and cultural ignorance of our day–Dare Gen seeks to transgress those boundaries. We promote dialogue and interaction between cultures through a creative lens.
Global Artists Mission
As part of our mission in being global citizens, we have established a partnership with DARE Gen arts center based in Ghana, West Africa.
Through this partnership, we hope to bring cultural awareness through the use of the arts. We have a team of passionate artists both in the US and Ghana who see the importance of interculturalism and strive to share that worldwide. All in the name of interculturalism.
KƆFA
Our performing arts company “KƆFA” consists of professional artists who tour across the nation performing thought-provoking works on various social issues. Company members are also teaching artists who provide a creative space for diversity through the various performing arts classes DARE Generation provides.
The main goal of the company is to use the performing arts as a form of interculturalism. KƆFA serves as an outlet for cultural awareness by showcasing traditional and contemporary styles fused together. We do this in hopes of creating an avenue to teach about diversity and showing the multiple ways the arts can be used to benefit society in a positive way, beyond entertainment.
